I was recently driving from North Platte to Crete for a funeral. About 15 miles outside of Crete, I heard a bang and immediately my power steering, power brakes did not work and my battery light illuminated. Of course I deducted that my serpentine belt had broken, so I googled automotive repair and saw that Skala's was on my way. I called and spoke to John who informed me they could work on my truck and they also had a loaner car for me to use to attend the funeral. When I pulled in, he simply put my name in the computer and handed me the keys to the loaner stating he would get to my truck just after lunch. When I returned around noon, my truck was fixed and it was not the belt, but instead the idler pulley. John decided to make the decision to fix the truck without interrupting me during the funeral. The prices were extremely good for his work and the time frame even better. On the way back to North Platte, John called to make sure the truck was doing ok. This is SERVICE. I highly recommend this place.

Horrible experience with them. Waited 2 hours for 2 new tires, the bolts were too tight on one tire so he broke his socket trying to get them off and made me pay for it. I got tired of waiting and left with only one tire on and paid 159$ for two used tires. Would have made me pay more if he actually got the job done.
Scott, John, and Cory all provide excellent customer service. They are upfront about what is wrong with the vehicle and educate us non mechanic folk as needed. They always educate me and take time to answer my questions. They are honest about what needs to be fixed, what can wait, and what I can go without fixing. Then I can go do research on my own. They leave the decision in my hands which is priceless. I trust Skalas with my vehicle and with my wallet. They gave me rides back to my place and brought my car to me when I needed help with that. And they don't nickel and dime me for every little second they take to look at my car. I recommend this place for sure.
